Years ago my father gave me a very large antique iron ladle. I had it hanging on my kitchen wall.
Even though it was already unique I had to do what I do best and add some paint to it. I know it is rare for me to use white, but I figured it would go with whatever decor I choose once we renovate our kitchen.
So think outside the box when decorating the walls in your home. They don't always have to be covered with the typical picture or mirror. Have fun and be different!

This is awesome!! I agree with the wall hanging idea. A friend was over the other night and was asking if I ever use the manual hand mixer that was my grandmother's. It barely fits in the kitchen gadget drawer. I told her I was thinking of hanging it on the wall! Idea confirmed!!!

ReplyDeleteI think your newly painted ladle is unique wall art! You're so right ... there are all kinds of items that look fabulous hung on walls as opposed to your typical picture. I have trays, plates and mirrors all over my home and much prefer them to a hanging picture. These are the things that make our homes so unique unto themselves!
