French country side table

I have a very difficult time passing up on pieces with scrolled edges and gorgeous legs. They add so much character to the piece and I love the french country appeal. This particular piece had that cardboard inlay in the top which I do not like, but had the perfect solution for it......

I started by painting the piece a simple butter cream color. Once dry, I painted the top insert with chalkboard paint. I distressed the piece and VOILA!

My 7th Etsy seller GIVEAWAY from Ingrid's Creations started yesterday. Be sure to enter!

Here is a sneak peak of what I hope to reveal tomorrow. I purchased this round coffee table for my family room at Savers for $10.00. Although there are significant scratches on the top and the bottom is nasty, I plan on taking care of all that....

  5. Making the top panel and chalkboard is a great idea, Lisa. And I love how time worn the rest of the table is. That looks like it was a fun piece to re-do! :)

    Take care,
