Before and after shabby chic pedestal table makeover

There is nothing better in the DIY world than a dramatic before and after. I definitely achieved that with this $25 goodwill pedestal table.


Although my work involves a lot of sanding, I have to admit I despise it. So, I avoid it when I can. Instead of sanding the shiny finish off the top of this table, I applied BIN primer so the top coats of paint would adhere with out peeling.


I used a soft yellow to paint the entire piece. The distressing at the end showcased the original wood finish underneath.



In addition, I'd like to introduce you to "Meet Me On Monday"...I am excited to say I have started a themed linky party that will be held every Monday and open through the week. The theme this week is light fixture makeovers. Next weeks theme is handcrafted signs. I would love to have you join.

    I would never thought of doing yellow, but it's so warm and lovely. A great before and after for sure!

    I love how you used a soft yellow. Using a yellow itself would be so strong. A soft yellow was a prefect color for the paint job.
