FINALLY...a piece of furniture! Shabby chic glass cabinet

I know, I feel like it has been forever since I have posted a refinished piece of furniture. Anyway, a friend of mine gave me a great glass cabinet that was in need of some work. Here is the before:

I really wanted to brighten it up so I used a pale buttercream paint. A little distressing and voila!

  5. I love it. I have a china cabinet of my grandmothers that I want to paint. What kind of paint did you use. I know that chalk paint is all the go but I really like the look on yours.

  11. I love cabinets that have see through glass because then you can show of what you own. Why have a cabinet that is closed without windows in it? If you have that then you can never show off the cool stuff you own to to other people. I guess you could open the cabinet but the point is that they see your cool stuff without you having to open it.
