Eclectic chic chair with Anthropologie appeal

Yesterday on my way to the grocery store, I quickly ran into Goodwill and I quickly found this chair for $8.

Typically $5 is my limit I will spend on a chair for resale, but this was so unique, sturdy, and I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. I had the perfect vintage fabric that was originally a curtain. I also had the perfect color paint to match it...It was even deserving of an Anthropologie photo shoot with moss and ledge as the background.

VOILA!!

In addition, I refinished two more wood containers my father scored for free for me....

The first trunk was painted with a cranberry color and the second container was painted a shabby blue with french beret for the interior..(the same color I used for my (BEDROOM MAKEOVER). If you haven't figured it out, "tresors" is "treasures" in french.

And lastly, here is a sneak peak of an upcoming project I am working on....

Only $15 at Goodwill! I an hoping to transform it into something out of this world....

This afternoon, I am stopping by my friend Debra's from Capers of the Vintage Vixens.  I know her house is going to be out of this world.  Little does she know, I am bringing my camera and sneaking photos to share with you.  (I guess she knows now if she is reading this...LOL!)

Wow....Did I seriously just overwhelm you with all of that information???

Have a great day!

  11. Oooh, love the chair. But then I have a thing for chairs. I love the colours you picked for your wooden boxes, they're charming. (Little correction: the accent for "Trésors" goes on the "é". It's still beautiful!)
