Eclectic chic secretary hutch...

Many of you have heard me talk about my dear friend Debra over at Capers of the Vintage Vixens
...Well this past fall she had a huge Oktoberfest party...So much fun. Anyway, while there I was lucky enough to meet another amazing blogger...Her name is Dee and her blog is French Bleu Vintage. She creates the most gorgeous stuff. The detail is exquisite. But, that being said, she isn't a big fan of painting furniture. She she left that to me. She brought me an old cabinet that was in some need of cheering up.....

She wanted to go with either a white, green, or a red...My recommendation was red, and Dee went with my suggestion...Yay! Here is the final product...

  2. Hi Lisa ~ I cannot tell you how much I love my "New" secretary. I think your choice of red is perfect! I will have to post how gorgeous it now looks holding my mercury glass collection. You did a seriously amazing job distressing it ~ it looks like I just hauled it over from a French country manor. Which is exactly the look I was going for. My husband is a wood purist and even he says it looks SO much better and makes our front foyer "POP". Thanks again ~ Dee

  3. I love, love, love it! A great shade of red. It looks flat or like milk paint, though hard to tell on the computer. Perfect knobs too.

  9. I love this cabinet in red. Painting this cabinet in red was a really smart move. Red really suits it and it brings out more of the beauty from the knobs.
