A friend of mine asked me to paint a piece for her that had GREAT bones. As gorgeous as the before was, we both agreed it was a bit dated and needed some OOMPH!
I felt it needed white paint to give it the shabby appeal it was screaming for....
SO beautiful and totally my style. Last week I moved into my new place in Seattle and had no furniture at all...would have been so nice to have you here with me to help me refinish all the pieces I got!! I just painted my dresser with a chevron pattern. Haven't shared it on the blog yet, but I know you'll be proud (:
This looks so good Lisa!! It looks so good in its shabby redo! I love that little owl on top of it too!
ReplyDeletePerfect! I see a lot of those little oak cabinets and they do look a little dated.
ReplyDeletegorgeous! i love those antique pulls and the distressing on this piece is perfect!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW, you "oomph-ed" it for sure...just GORGEOUS!!

ReplyDeleteWow it looks completely different. The paint and how you distressed it is perfect. Your friend owes you big time for bringing life to the dresser.
ReplyDeleteSO pretty Lisa! Seriously, you are magical :)
ReplyDeleteSooo gorgeous Lisa! I love it and love those handles! Thanks for linking up at my party!
ReplyDeleteI ADORE the wooden blocks you have those candles on! Did you do them yourself? How can I get myself some of those?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she was really happened with the finished product. I wish you could paint my dresser. You'd pick way better colors then I would.
