Shabby chic blue desk/vanity

First let me start by saying that I can't share the before photos of this. The computer I downloaded them onto is doing funky things right now and I can't retrieve the pictures. So, picture dark shiny wood with big ugly chunky knobs. I should also mention that I got it at Salvation Army for $10. The top was pretty scratched up so I gave it a good sanding. Then onto the primer, two coats of paint, and some sanding.....

Here she is all prettied up:

Those of you from CT can vouch that spring still hasn't officially arrived here yet. It has been cold, windy, and rainy. But, some of my daffodils have FINALLY bloomed. I hope that means many flowers will be following suit soon!

Although I am still not completely satisfied, I am finally going to share my family room reveal with you tonight........

  8. I'm sending you warm, sunny thoughts from NC, Lisa! After several days of 80+ degree weather, it was in the 50s, rainy and icky today. The sun returns tomorrow and I'll be thankful for it. That was $10 well spent because the dresser looks great in that cornflower blue. And it looks so cheery with the daffodils!

    Take care,
    Erin

  9. I love the daffodils you have in the glass container. Did you grow them yourself?
