Oh sooooo Anthropologie...but for only $3....

Remember that really ugly lamp I showed you yesterday that I got at Goodwill the other day? With the very large gross shade? I don't know what it is, but shades from Goodwill or any thrift for that matter really gross me out. Go figure.


A little paint, some distressing, and a bit of lamp shade tearing....and you come up with this:






It would obviously look better with a more dramatic light bulb, but this is all I had for photo purposes.

    I love the polka dots! Very cute idea on the shade/no shade. I agree--old lamp shades kind of give me the creeps too. haha

    Less is more :) Love the polka dots and updated look! I bought a lampshade without a shade, in an antique mall. The woman working there asked me what I was going to cover it with. I said, nothing. You should have seen the look on her face. Very funny!

    Lisa, I love the polka dot lamp and the green! Lamps are my favorite decor item. I say,"if you can count all the lamps in your home on one hand....it's time to go shopping for more LAMPS!" I bet you agree. I've now following you.
