French country chair~part 2 of family room makeover

I am on the second project of my living room makeover. The first part can be seen HERE.

I purchased a GORGEOUS chair from a farm house estate sale my neighbors had about 4 years ago. It was in their barn infested with you don't even want to know what. The fabric was DISGUSTING. But I saw right through all of that and bought it for $10. I took it home, tore all of the fabric off, and scrubbed the you know what out of it. I upholstered it with Ralph Lauren fabric that matched the decor I had at the time. It was really pretty, but time for a change.

I decided to give it the same finish I recently did on my armoire. I used the same painting and glazing technique. I upholstered it with some extra drop cloth material I had laying around. I am pleased with the final result.

  13. I like how this time you actually brought a beautiful chair. Most of the time you buy ugly chairs because you feel bad for the chair. It's nice to see that once in a while you buy something already beautiful and try to make it more beautiful. I love the blue paint job for the chair. Looks much nicer in this color.
